EAC recently completed the annual Stormwater Pollution Prevention training for employees and tenants at the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport. EAC has assisted the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport in pollution prevention for over a decade. Airports are Sector S Industrial Facilities, as defined under 40 CFR 122.26(b)(14), and are required to implement stormwater pollution prevention practices to minimize adverse effects as a result of preventable releases of chemicals to the environment.
Subsequent to training/guidance presentations on minimizing potential sources of stormwater pollution, EAC inspected over 30 airport tenant facilities. During these inspections, potential sources of contamination are identified, and solutions to prevent the potential release of contaminants to the environment are provided.
