09/11/2026
On this 25th anniversary of the attacks of 9/11, we reflect on the pain, suffering, and the resolve of the American people. The tragic loss of life that day felt like a dagger piercing the very soul of our country. The heroes that responded that day and gave the ultimate sacrifice are forever in our hearts. The thousands of deaths and injuries related to post-9/11 efforts continue to be a cruel reminder of the hate that was poured out that day.
We choose to remember, also, that in the weeks, months, and years after 9/11 the absolute unity that our great country displayed for the world. Seeing the multitudes of people humbly serving at ground zero, twenty four hours a day, showing that the attack will not define us but the response does.
In the midst of undue suffering, love took the place of fear and hurt. Love for our neighbors, love for our Lord and Savior, and the comfort of Grace that He gives us. Our prayers today are for those killed on that day and those that lost loved ones or continue to suffer in the aftermath, and for our enemies across the world.
God bless you all.
