The Oklahoma Taxidermy Competition and Convention was this past weekend. We snuck over the border with a few customer pieces and brought back some awards. In the competition room the devil is in the details.

Huge, Thank You to my good friend Daniel Meng for collaborating on a one of a kind World Show Piece we put in the Collective Artist division.

Very few taxidermists ever get to work on a tiger, this was a 20 year old female that died of old age. She had great hair and made an absolutely beautiful mount, a true moment in time captured!

I am fortunate to serve on our local DSC Texas Panhandle Chapter. We just had our annual banquet which was a huge success. It is always great to work with the ladies from The Julie Freeman Agency, LLC., they are a very classy, professional modeling agency we use for our ticket and game sales. Thank you Jordan, Libby and Christin, y’all killed it!

We’ve been working on some really cool projects lately, but these absolutely massive Argentinian red stags are definitely at the top of the list. Stay tuned for the finished products, once they’re dried and finished out we’ll get them posted up!

In the meantime, if you want to see them in person, we’ll be bringing them and a handful of other awesome mounts to the DSC Texas Panhandle Chapter show at the Amarillo Civic Center on Saturday, April 13th. Stop by the shop to get your tickets, or buy a table and bring all your friends! Give the page a follow and send them a message with any questions! Can’t wait to see everyone there!
