One of the very large ❤️elderberry bushes you can see the flowers and you can see the berries that have now started to form..🐝🌱

I agree with Sharon Autry, many others in our community and beyond !

My mother, sisters and I worked in our family’s huge garden, we had home raised beef in the freezer from the butcher (dad preferred buying Black Angus cattle) (I preferred heading to the barn and riding horses 😂🐴) At the time, I didn’t realize how important these skills were going to be until I got older.
My Mom canned something all summer long. We had our own pickles, dad made our own BBQ sauce, we ate a wide variety of proteins, we ate clean and healthy!
As an adult I raised some tomatoes and jalapenos for several years… Mom told me one summer don’t bring me anymore! 😂

I went with dad to area farms to pick blackberries, pawpaws, cherries, anything that was ready along with learning which mushrooms were edible, and which plants (some call them weeds) could be harvested to make a mess of tasty greens.

As I’m getting older and slowing down some, I have finally decided on the three food sources I love and want to concentrate on here at Better Equine Ranch and Farm. Elderberries for health and pollination, honeybees for pollination and honey of course and herbs for cooking and medicinal use. Oh, and I can’t leave out my Love for dandelions ❤️

Better Equine Ranch Made up some sugar water and I will be going out this afternoon to feed all these crazy cowgirl bees! 

This afternoon these crazy cowgirl bees will not sting me in the face… look up my new bright yellow duds!!
