Training- I at 4 Legged Retrievers believe that every dog does have the ability to become a great retriever, while some might have the natural ability others may lack in some areas. That is where I will do my very best to get your buddy at his maximum performance before he leaves my hands. That is why I keep and limit the number of dogs to a maximum of 5 dogs a time, this way I am able to give you
r dog the most for its money. In other words I will guarantee your dog will have lots of hands on time each and every day. While also these dogs that I have at my place will be kept inside the house at night time in a kennel. I do not want my personal dog "best friend" to be out in the weather and I know you wouldn't want yours to either. Puppy Program - This step is a big factor in getting a well balanced hunting buddy. During this stage of the program I will introduce your dog into Water, Decoys, Gun-fire, other dogs, and some commands but keeping it simple, also your dog will be introduced to people and the environment around. Which is a big factor, I at 4 Legged Retrievers want every dog to be wagging it's tell every step of the way. Obedience Program - I offer Obedience training to any dog bred, it doesn't just have to be a hunting dog. The obedience program is a 6 week course that will involve them learning KENNEL, SIT, STAY, HERE, HEEL. This will make your dog enjoyable to be around and not have to worry about it being wild in the house or just a simple walk at the park. Gun Dog/Hunting Dog/Advanced Gun Dog Program - During these steps in training we will build off the Obedience program and take it a notch further. During the Gun Dog/ Hunting dog stage this will be where we introduce the dog to water, birds, gunfire, boats, atvs, and stands. Your dog will be taught to be steady on fire, learn to not break on gunfire, retrieve multiple birds down on land and water. Once your dog is finished with Gun Dog/ Hunting Dog program he will be a well "Started" level dog, and maybe even further along depends on the dog. This course is a 4 month course. If you are an owner who wants to take it a step further and have an advanced gun dog this will take about an extra 3 months depending on the dog. During this program they will learn to sit on whistle, know hand commands, and be able to run blind retrieves. Hunt Test Program - This program is for anybody wanting their dog to be ran in Hunt test events. Such as UKC events and HRC events. "Started, Seasoned, & Finished levels" This program will be available while your dog is actually in training and even after training depending on the owner. This is all depending on the dogs desired level of wanting to retrieve.
-Tune Up Program - This program will be available for anybody. This is for a dog that has been trained already and you are wanting to send off for a month or so and just get your back in the shape it needs to be in and tuned up ready to go
