Your newborn's reflexes aren't random — they're wired in for a reason. 🧠
Most parents recognize the Moro (startle) reflex. But two others are just as important and far less known:
🤺 ATNR ("fencer" reflex) — helps baby move through the birth canal, should integrate ~6 months
🐣 STNR — helps baby transition to hands-and-knees, key for crawling, should integrate 8-11 months
These reflexes are meant to show up, do their job, then fade right on schedule as baby hits new milestones. When one lingers, it can be a sign the nervous system needs a little support.
That's why we check reflexes at every newborn & pediatric visit — even when everything looks fine. 👶

Lexus & Shannon welcomed their baby boy in the comfort of their home this week! All are doing well and settling in. Everyone got adjusted and little Henri rocked his adjustment with strong reflexes at less than 24 hours old. Please join us in sending prayers, well wishes and congratulations to the Kuhls. 🎉Can you guess his weight!?

We love Makenzie and her entire equine crew! She understands for horses to feel well they need to move well. Being proactive with your health and your equines health can save so much money and heartache down the road. This doesn't mean there will never be injuries (horses do horse things - iykyk), but the proactive care, recovery and outcomes are so much better when you combine chiropractic & massage. It's like peanut butter & chocolate - both are great alone, but amazing together! If you have been busy riding, giddy on up and get scheduled. 🐴

Do your horses get Chiropractic work? Massage? Both? 🤞🏼

While obviously different, Chiropractic work and massage truly can go hand in hand!

Chiropractic care focuses on helping to maintain joint mobility and restore normal or baseline movement, while Massage focuses on the muscles, soft tissues, and releasing tension.

When joints are not moving correctly, the surrounding tissues and muscles can become strained or tight. Likewise, muscle tension can interfere with how freely joints move!

My personal favorite is to do BOTH!!!! 🤞🏼🩷

Depending on each horse and their specific needs—because, as we know, every horse is different—I like to massage either the day be-four or the day after chiropractic care. 🐴🩷

🐾 Meet our new furry friends at Aspen this July! 🐾

We’ve welcomed some pretty special patients this month, and we’re honored to be part of their health journeys! 💚

🐶 Whiskey — Our returning 13-year-old friend working through some painful flares. We’re happy to support this sweet senior!

🐾 Kash — A young Frenchie off to the BEST start in life! 🥰

🐶 Winnie — A sweet Beagle receiving proactive care for early signs of IVDD.

🐕 Ranger (& siblings!) — This handsome 11-year-old Collie found a loving family after the passing of his previous owner. We’re happy to welcome him to Aspen! ❤️

🌟 Piper — Our golden girl had been slowing down, but her owner knew it wasn’t “just age.” We found joint restrictions that may be contributing and are working to keep her comfortable and moving well.

🐾 Macey — This adorable Dachshund suddenly began shaking and trembling from pain. She is using chiropractic care to support healing and her long back for the future. 💛

🐶 Fran — A rescue Bulldog with a kind soul and a long medical history, including FHO surgery, seizures, IVDD, neck pain, and stiffness.

Since starting chiropractic care, Fran has had no new seizures, regained neck mobility to the right, and is picking up her feet better while walking! 🎉 We’re so grateful to be part of her healing journey. ❤️

🐕 Lucy — A fluffy rescue healing from an injury after jumping. Chiropractic care is helping keep her comfortable and reduce compensatory stress.
