Decorate By Design is a workshop created by Interior Designer Mary Cynthia Martin and Mary Cynthia Martin Designs firm to share her decorating knowledge with anyone that wants to learn how to decorate like a professional. holstery, wallpaper, home accessories, flooring, dimensions, and color. Martin Durr Caldwell Interior Design firm was started in 1952 by Joe Martin, Mary Cynthia's father. Located in Danville, Kentucky, it is the second oldest interior design firm in Central Kentucky. In the beginning, Joe's wife Frances answered the phones and kept the appointment book, and his brother-in-law Richard Caldwell was the installer and kept the firm's books. Eventually, his daughter Mary Cynthia joined the firm, then bought it in 1995. In 2024 Mary Cynthia moved the workroom/business to 1107 Russell Cave Road in Paris Kentucky and updated the Firms name to Mary Cynthia Martin Designs. The motto on the crest above reads "Servitas cm Fidelitas"-- Service with Faithfulness. This is more than a motto; for us, it's a way of treating our clients and meeting our commitments. Our Mission Statement reads Martin Durr Caldwell is in business to:

• Create a unique experience for our clients.
• Offer a workplace where employees may prosper. Copper a nice change up from oil-rubbed bronze, brushed nickel and brass. This clients kitchen copper collection was extended into her newly appointed living room thru the use of copper artwork, table, lamp & lanterns. These created a warm feel in contrast to her cool colors.An all around inviting room.

RICHMOND KENTUCKY
A classic stone house featuring the stylings of chippendale, hepplewhite and sheraton furniture has added a punch of color thru window treatments, wallpapers and new upholstery. The owners who have a teenage duaghter wanted a bedroom design that would carry thru to her adult future. A home office and a downstairs formal bathroom was added to fit the couples lifestyle. The key to this project was finding multi-colored prints whose scale was large enough to carry the size of the rooms and create focal points.
