🚑 Investing in the Future of Emergency Medical Services! 🚑

Today, members of the Paris Fire Department met with Burgess / Wheel Coach to review specifications and begin the next steps in the build process for our new ambulance!

Building a new ambulance is a lengthy process, typically taking around 18 months from design to delivery, with a cost approaching $500,000. Our newest ambulance is currently scheduled to arrive in July 2027.

The Paris Fire Department currently operates two front-line Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances, with the capability to deploy two additional reserve ambulances when needed. Maintaining a reliable fleet is essential to ensuring we can respond to emergencies and provide the highest level of care to our community.

Thanks to the continued support of Bourbon County and the City of Paris, we have been able to add a new ambulance to our fleet approximately every two years. This ongoing investment helps us maintain dependable equipment, keep pace with the demands of emergency medical services, and continue providing the best possible care to the citizens we serve.

We are grateful for the continued support of our local leaders and community as we work to keep Paris and Bourbon County safe! ❤️🚒

Today members from 3rd shift assisted in teaching the recruits fire behavior using actual live fire. This is a first for our department and something we are extremely excited about. Several members have worked towards making this a reality for our department. We look forward to many more live fire trainings in the future. A huge thank you to everyone involved!

Today, First Shift kicked off Day 1 of a three-day in-service training on our newly acquired ZOLL Zenix cardiac monitors.

The City of Paris and Bourbon County continue to invest in our department by providing our firefighters and EMS personnel with the latest technology and equipment available. These new monitors will enhance our ability to provide high-quality care and better serve the residents of our community when they need us most.

We’re proud to continue moving forward and investing in the tools and training that help us serve Paris and Bourbon County!
