As we honor and remember those who gave everything for our freedom, Air Evac 139 encourages everyone to celebrate safely.
We would like to also offer the following tips to keep your gathering a safe one.

Travel and Roadway Safety--
Expect increased traffic—plan ahead, allow extra time, and avoid aggressive driving.
Always wear seatbelts and eliminate distractions.
Never drive impaired—arrange for a designate sober driver or arrange alternate transportation.

Grilling and Fire Safety---
Keep grills clear of structures, never leave them unattended, and maintain a safe perimeter for children and pets.
Have a fire extinguisher or water source nearby.
Select a well-ventilated area outside your home away from children, pets and flammable objects.
Never leave a grill unattended.

Water and Boating Safety---
Always wear a lifejacket or personal floatation device.
Never stand up in your small powerboat, canoe, or similar watercraft.
Avoid alcohol and drug use.
Stay alert to weather conditions and always let someone know your plans.

As we celebrate National EMS Week this week not enough can be said about our wonderful crews here at 139. A simple ‘thank you’ does not seem to be enough. You need to know you are appreciated beyond measure. Your caring, kindness, compassion, and willing to go the extra mile does not go unnoticed.
