Mikey and me (Chris), will be your tour guides for a magical and obsessive/compulsive trip into tiny home living. You'll learn at our expense as we try to drop out of the rat race and live the dream. We were having a lively debate one day (Ok, it was an argument) about how rather than trying to make more money or live in some third world country where the cost of living was cheaper, wouldn't it be
better if we adopted a lifestyle that required little or no money? But how do you go about this? We are both married, approaching our golden years (Mikey more so than me!) and having a number of health issues.I have been interested in the tiny house movement for quite some time and wondered if this might be the solution. Is this the means to our ends? We began to look at how living in a tiny home might impact our lives, doing the old pros and cons thing. Less room, less comfort, less stuff were all disadvantages, or were they? What could we possibly hope to gain? As I began to really look at how things could be, I quickly realized that having less could actually turn out to be having more. If you were to live in a tiny house that you built yourself with no mortgage, you would certainly have more money. Less taxes, less maintenance, less utilities, etc. But you would also have more time (our most important asset), more freedom, and just as beneficial, less stress. Sounds good doesn't it? So there it is, This is what has gotten the ball rolling for us and we look forward to sharing this journey with you. Honestly, the amount of information on the web regarding tiny houses is relatively limited. I consumed most of it in a day, and was left wanting more. Maybe Mikey and me can add to that base of knowledge and even give you a chuckle or two. Check back periodically, new post posts as my old bones and bowling ball sharp mind permit! Oh, and please "Like" and "Follow us on FB!
