We are growing and need Electricians to join our Chicagoland-based team!
Sige Solar is looking for motivated individuals to join our Solar Installation team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical components of a PV solar array. You must have a positive attitude, a dedicated work ethic, and the ability to excel. You must also be reliable and work well in teams.
Responsibilities:
-Work unsupervised at times and meet deadlines
· Install electrical systems that interconnect with the solar array to the grid;
· Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures;
· Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment as needed;
· Experience bending EMT conduit;
· Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components;
· Read specifications, site layout drawings, and instructions to design, build, and repair residential and commercial solar systems;
· Maintain cleanliness of job site and company vehicles;
· Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate, and service equipment used in the performance of duties; and,
· Attention to detail, multi-task, follow head instruction.

Requirements
Requirements & Physical Abilities
The following abilities are needed to be able to fulfill your general duties listed above:
· Electrical experience
· Basic knowledge of NEC code
· Overnight stays may be requested for occasional jobs
· Basic knowledge of electrical material and equipment
· Proficient with hand and power tools
· Lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
· Perform work on uneven and wet surfaces
· Work in extreme weather conditions
· Ability to walk, stand, and bend for long periods of time
· Ability to use your hands to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning, and pulling
· Ability to follow safety policies and procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment required for the job in a safe manner
· Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
· Must have reliable transportation to and from the office (company vehicle will be provided from office to job sites)
