In traditional string inverter systems, panels are connected together.
If one panel is covered with snow, dirty, or shaded, the entire string slows down.

⚡ In this example:
All panels drop to ~20% output → Total system only ~30%.

With Enphase microinverters, each panel works independently.

retirement. rules.
Spent 3 hours repairing a inverter today. Reminder: don’t focus only on the initial investment. This inverter is throwing errors just 6 years after install — the second one.

And is horrible. After a 40-minute hold I was connected to an arrogant rep with questionable knowledge and zero customer service skills. Second time in 3 days.
