LEHS banquet 2026 💕
What a successful year we had horse showing! Leia experienced her first horse show season ever! She got qualifying (top 10) ribbons in all her divisions, with both the crosspoles and maidens having well over 15 riders in the divisions! Norah wasn’t able to attend the banquet, but she and Tommy were reserve champion novice equitation!
And Haleigh had a stellar year being champion in both the adult hunter and adult equitation, as well as open hunter champion. The icing on the cake being Grand Hunter champion for the whole season!
As always, I’m most proud of the humans I get to spend my summers showing with. And the ribbons are just the bonus.

Another new ride for Cody. He got to try Jasmine today for the first time. What a cute pair! 💕

This weekend’s big project was to install a sleeper gym for our equine athletes! Although leading the horses through will be a gym workout for the humans as well. This exercise is semi permanently installed outside of the arenas and is intended for hand walking only, not riding. It is excellent for core and topline strengthening and conditioning, as well as proprioception. As with Sox as an example here, some of our senior school horses can benefit from working their cores and topline as they age, and I have been researching exercises to assist with this in between riding. We are so excited for this addition to our farm to better support all our horses!

Wrapped up a rainy day 2 at vantage point LEHS with LJ and Rootbeer winning the Maiden medal and Norah and Tommy reserve champion in the novice hunters!
Home early for a horse show day, thankfully, because we were all soaked through!

We had a super day 1 of Vantage Point LEHS!!!
LJ and Rootbeer had solid rounds in the crosspoles and then moved up to the maidens for the first time with even more solid rounds. Ended up with good ribbons in all her classes and was Reserve Champion in the maiden equitation division!
Norah and Tommy had their first show together today in the novice division. They achieved a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for their morning efforts. And they also competed in the hunter derby out of 15 riders. This was Norah’s first derby ever and she ended up 2nd overall! Norah and Tommy were the highest score of the class in the first round with an incredible 83!!! We are all so grateful to Stephanie for letting Norah show him this year while she’s on maternity leave.

I’m a little late posting about the first horse show of the season at Albion for the LEHS show! And I didn’t manage to get any pictures from the weekend but I borrowed this adorable one from Aubrey. Leia and Rootbeer had their FIRST show ever! Successfully competing in the crosspole division and learning the ropes of horse shows. Every day she learned more and more, and her medal on Sunday was superbly executed, including the built-in test with a halt right on the center line!
Haleigh and Aire had their first classes at 2’9 and Aire has matured so much since last season!
Mia and Jethro joined us again and had a very solid first outing in the jumper divisions. They also have come MILES in progress since last year.
It was a very solid start to the show season and we are all looking forward to the next one in June!

Fun clinic today for our last hoorah before winter! It was a bit windy but the sun shaped up for us. Great day, great horses, great people. 💖

Wrapped up the 2025 show season at the LEHS banquet last night! It’s so rewarding to see the culmination of a hard worked show season. Congratulations to Stephanie and Tommy for being Grand Hunter Champions!!!
Steph and Haleigh continued their 1-2 streak in the adult divisions, with Steph being champion in adult hunter and equitation, and Haleigh coming in reserve champion in both divisions.
Mia was unable to join us at the banquet, but we brought home ribbons for her in all her jumper divisions.
Thanks for a great season, ladies!!
Looking forward to 2026
