Space LiDAR is moving from concept to commercial reality!

Spiral Blue has completed its first international LiDAR delivery to Lodestar Space, marking a key milestone in our journey toward sustained global revenue.

This milestone is important because it demonstrates real customer demand for our technology and validates our ability to deliver mission-critical space hardware at scale.

It also strengthens our position in the growing market for orbital sensing, while accelerating our roadmap toward long-range, space-to-Earth LiDAR capabilities.

We are not just building the future of LiDAR in space,
We are delivering it today.

Our COO MJ Akter had the opportunity to visit Australia House in the UK today and engage in discussions on bringing space-based LiDAR to the UK market!🇦🇺🇬🇧

It’s drone testing day at Spiral Blue! We headed out for a walk around our lab at the Cicada Innovations National Space Industry Hub located in the lovely Tech Central Sydney area and captured some imagery of trees and open land for our machine learning models. These models will be key in helping optimise our future LiDAR constellation!

A huge thank you to our team for their ongoing efforts to develop something we’ve never seen before - a high resolution space based LiDAR Earth observation constellation! ✨

Thank you to Alex Shapilsky for lending your drone on such short notice!

And really appreciate the work done by Investment NSW in creating such a vibrant locale for innovation, particularly for deep tech startups like ours!

We had the opportunity to tour the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory today! 🚀

As the home of the Mars Rover, Voyager, and the command center for every interplanetary mission, JPL stands as a beacon of innovation and discovery. The team was truly inspired by JPL’s motto: Dare Mighty Things!

A big thank you to Techstars and NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory for arranging this trip! And thank you to our amazing tour guide Curtis!

Lift Off! 🚀🤩

Spiral Blue’s Space Edge Computer has taken flight aboard the Waratah Seed Space Qualification Mission-1 satellite via a SpaceX Falcon 9 on the Transporter 11 launch on the 17th of August! This is a huge leap for in-orbit data processing, and we’re just getting started.

A big shoutout to everyone who played a part in the success of the launch!

Last day at The Andy Thomas Space Foundation Australian Space
Forum🚀

Our CEO Taofia Huq shared his thoughts at the Investment NSW session on Building a Sustainable Space Ecosystem. As part of his talk, Taofia gave an update on our Space Edge Computing development journey, as well as our upcoming work in in-space LiDAR.

Also we were honoured to meet Katherine Bennell-Pegg Australia’s first ever female astronaut 👩‍🚀

Special shoutouts to NSW Space Research Network, who supported our collaboration with the Macquarie University Photonics Research Centre, with Helen Pask and her team. We’re continuing to develop a consortium for our LiDAR efforts with startups at the Cicada Innovations Space Hub, Deneb Space, Starbound Space Solutions, and ANT61.
