On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free β two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth honors that long-overdue freedom, and the resilience, strength, and joy that carried a community through it.
At Only Care Home Health, care has always meant more than medicine. It means seeing the whole person β their history, their dignity, their right to live well and freely in their own home. Today, we celebrate Juneteenth and recommit to delivering compassionate, equitable care to every family we serve.
Happy Juneteenth! π€β€οΈπ
