Honoring 47 Years of Leadership at Pacifica

Today we celebrate Stephen Caropino, our Executive Vice President, as he steps into the next chapter of his career.

For 47 years, Stephen has been at the heart of Pacifica's success leading contract administration, financial forecasting, operational strategy, and client relationships on some of our most significant projects, from the Port of Los Angeles 2020 Program to LAWA master planning to emergency recovery efforts after Hurricane Hugo, the 1992 LA Civil Unrest, the Northridge Earthquake, and Hurricane Katrina.

Together with Ernie Camacho, Stephen helped build Pacifica from the ground up. Their vision and dedication are the foundation this company stands on today.

Pacifica Services was honored to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Health Professions Education Building (HPEB) at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science.
Representing Pacifica were Chief Operating Officer Jeff Camacho, Senior Vice President Eric Lopez, and Eric’s daughter, Emilia, who joined in celebrating this significant milestone for the university and the future of healthcare education.

The HPEB stands as an investment in the next generation of healthcare professionals, providing modern learning environments that will help educate physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our communities.

Today, we celebrate an extraordinary milestone and honor an extraordinary person Elena Gonzales on her retirement after 46 incredible years with Pacifica.

Elena began her journey with Pacifica in 1980 as our very first employee. Over the decades, she has played an instrumental role in helping shape the company into what it is today. Her dedication, loyalty, professionalism, and unwavering commitment have left a permanent mark on Pacifica and on all of us fortunate enough to have worked alongside her.

As Vice President, Elena in the beginning of her career brought not only exceptional expertise in contract administration and accounting for major infrastructure programs, including Los Angeles Unified School District and Rio Hondo Community College projects, but also a level of integrity, warmth, and leadership that cannot be measured.
While we will deeply miss Elena’s daily presence, we are excited for her as she begins this well-deserved new chapter filled with family, relaxation, and precious moments with her grandchildren, Isabella, Noah and Caleb.

Elena, thank you for everything. Pacifica is better because of you, and your legacy will always remain part of our story.
