You've been seeing a lot of posts on my social media sites about Forever Musical which is my husband's(Barry Gordon) new musical. I'll probably post in the future how once a musical has been written a lot of business start-up principles are required to get it from page to on the stage. Right now, we are building an audience and fan base. I thought you would like to see this video one of the new Forever Musical followers sent us from when Barry was seven years old. Just to show you that he's been musical for a long, long time!

What does it mean to stay young forever? And more importantly, what does it cost?

In a recent conversation on Traversing the Stars Podcast with Jeffrey Haas, Barry opens up about the long journey behind "Forever". What emerges is not just a story about youth and fame, but a deeper exploration of time, identity, and the pressure to remain relevant.

Watch the video, then drop your take… would you choose forever?

We just reached an important milestone in the journey of "Forever". Our first 100!

And while that number might sound small, to us, it means something much bigger. It means people are paying attention. It means something we’ve been building is starting to connect.

In this vlog, Barry & Gary take a moment to say thank you to the first 100 who have joined us on this journey, and to talk about what comes next as we continue building toward our goal of the Forever 1000.

If you’re already part of it, thank you for being here early. And if you’re not yet, we hope you’ll join us. Because this is just the beginning.

Every new musical starts with a few people who believe in it before the rest of the world ever sees it. That kind of early support means everything.

In this vlog, Barry shares why that kind of support means so much to Forever Musical and how it helps move the musical closer to its next stage.

Developing a new musical often begins with finding the emotional truth behind a single song.

In this vlog, Barry shares the story behind “It Gets Old,” one of the most unexpected songs in the Forever Musical and explains how it was shaped by character and musical influence.

It’s a look inside the songwriting process and how a single idea can help define the emotional world of a show.

A story centered on youth, fame, and the cost of staying relevant doesn’t come together overnight. It’s developed through workshops where ideas are tested, challenged, and refined in real time.

Barry & Gary share a closer look at the workshop process that helped shape "Forever" into what it is today, and how those moments of collaboration continue to move the musical forward.

What makes a story work as a musical?

We recently saw that the cult classic “The Lost Boys” is being turned into a Broadway musical, which got Barry Gordon & Gary thinking… if that can happen, could a film like “Sinners” work on stage too?

In this vlog, they explore what creators actually look for when deciding if a story can be musicalized. Is it the characters? The emotional stakes? Or is the music already built into the world of the story?

They also talk about how these same questions come up while developing our musical Forever Musical

Watch the video and let us know your thoughts.

What movie or TV show would make a great musical? And what story should never become one?
