🚨 PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUEST – HORN ISLAND INVESTIGATION 🚨

The Jackson County Sheriffs Office is asking for the public’s help in the ongoing investigation into the death of 18-year-old Nolan Xavier Wells.

If you were at or near the northwest tip of Horn Island on July 4, 2026, investigators are asking you to review your phone, camera, GoPro, or drone footage.

They are specifically requesting:
📸 Original, unedited photos
🎥 Original, unedited videos
👤 Images or videos that may include Nolan Wells, even in the background
⚠️ Footage showing any alleged altercations or other significant interactions
👥 Information from anyone who witnessed or heard an argument, disturbance, or other unusual activity

Even if you don’t think your photos or videos are important, they may help investigators establish an accurate timeline.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office continues to actively investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of Nolan Wells, who was last seen alive on Horn Island on July 4, 2026.

We recognize that a significant amount of information, speculation, and commentary has been shared on social media and throughout the community. As with any active investigation, our investigators are working to establish the facts through eyewitness accounts, physical evidence, and other reliable information.

We are asking anyone who was on or near Horn Island on July 4, 2026, to contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Office if you have one of the following:

-Any interactions with, sightings of, or statements regarding Nolan Wells.
-Original, unedited photos and videos taken on the northwest tip of Horn Island on July 4, 2026, particularly those depicting alleged altercations or containing images of, or believed to include Nolan Wells. Original media often contains critical details that may be essential to the ongoing investigation.
-Observed or heard an argument, disturbance, or other unusual activity while on the island that day.

Even information that may seem insignificant could prove valuable to investigators. We encourage anyone with firsthand knowledge to come forward.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. We appreciate the community's continued cooperation and ask everyone to refrain from spreading unverified information that could hinder investigative efforts.

Our thoughts, prayers, and condolences remain with Nolan Wells' family during this difficult time. We respectfully ask the public to extend compassion and privacy to his loved ones as investigators continue working diligently to determine exactly what occurred.
