We're Back at it again!

Our Pasco branch is fortunate to have 11 out of 25 Employee owner fully vested. Being employee-owned means everyone's ideas matter and their efforts matter. We just finished recognizing a couple more Workaversaries, one 32yrs and the other 19yrs and this branch wouldn't be where it is today without them. Employee ownership is celebrated here! It may be gift cards for a while but once you're fully vested the celebration really begins. Being a 13yr vested owner myself, I can personally attest to the countless times I have fought the urge to quit. Additionally, the years spent interaction and observing helps with finding gifts worthy of their efforts, showing that they mean enough to put effort in to recognizing them.

We here, at Pacific Steel, are an employee-owned company that likes to recognize ownership and celebrate annual Workaversaries with extra attention to those milestones. We currently closed out the celebration for a legend, the Queen at 32yrs, with some lite kidnapping by her best friend during her scheduled workday. she was taken for a couples spa package at Nouveau Day Spa that included a steam, massage, lunch, and pedicure. Then she was taken to pick out her favorite perfume, before return to work... Yeah, returning to work... more like finish out her day, focus and interest in work were dramatically diminished!

Keep following... we have more celebrations this year, not as epic as this but notable for certain. However, next year we have a very big year with many milestones of the zero/five-year intervals, with two making it to our local branch number! 33 years, that's impressive, can you imagine how many times they wanted to quit in that time!

Today we had a test of our Humanity!

While opening the bay door to leave with the delivery truck, one of our drivers was met with the happy dance of a French Bulldog in a tan dog hoodie. The dog was excited to come in from the weather and excitement of the growing morning's traffic. After calming the zoomies, our driver was able hug and love the dog but most importantly fashion a leash from a nylon choke strap to secure him to the doorway. Ensuring that he wouldn't run out into traffic, the driver texted me at 6:24 am to let me know. Through the course of the day we loved him, fed him, watered him and made him a bed to nap on. Posting on a lost pet page on Facebook at 8:00 am we hadn't heard anything by the time animal control opened at 10:00 am. We explored, with no luck, the chip number gained from the animal control officer; after following all the proper steps, it was manipulating a Facebook marketplace post that reunited mom and fur baby. The chip was never registered. đŸ˜“

Never-the-less, Baxter was crazy excited to see mom again. we were all sad to see him go but confident that he is home. She knew all the information withheld, for proper identification, and more. Plus, dogs may not be able to speak our same language, but we could clearly see he knew who she was and was excited to see her.
