This one started at the curling club. My friend from curling, Sarah V. went to Saint Mary’s and currently works there. She asked if I would pour at their Alumni fundraising summer event, and of course I said yes!

This Saturday August 15th from 2-5pm I will be pouring Catalyst and Crimson at the Saint Mary’s Summer Wine and Beer Fest in Moraga from 2-5. You will be able to buy bottles and take them home right from my table, which is quite unusual for events like this. :)

There will be food and drink and hopefully lots of sun, so I hope to see some of you there!

Wine & Spirit Festival

An afternoon that starts as one chapter and turns into four is one of the better ways to spend a day off. Book Society is an awesome bookstore, with a wall of wine by the glass and small bites when you decide to stay a while.

Catalyst is their August pairing for Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. 🙂

Their pairing card points out that the A on my label is the alchemical symbol for Amalgam. I did not expect anyone to catch that, and they built the pairing around it. 😯

I am a few chapters in and it's already a great pairing. Catalyst is on the wall at Book Society® through August.
