Well, I had a crap start and stalled. Thank goodness for the desert Gods, we were blessed with wet dirt and no dust. I was able to hammer down in the open desert and skate by a lot of riders stacking up on the trail. Me and another guy actually touched at about 30-40 MPH. SKETCHY 💩
The first loop was pretty fast for the most part. I was able to get by some guys and some guys got by me.Tthere were some fun wide-open 70+ MPH sections and some 5 MPH rocky sections that were served up.
I came into the pits in 66th OA (KC) and had Gil from North Nevada pit my bike. He made a minor adjustment to my bike for loop 2, fueled me up and I was off for loop 2 rockfest.
Loop 2 provided plenty of challenges in the rocks and sand. I tipped her over about 4 times in the sand. GET BAAAAAACK ON THAT DAMN SEAT!! I said that more than once in my head!
All in all, had a good race. Felt great at the finish. Shockingly didn't cramp at all. Preparation and health are good.
Thank you to my Lord and Savior Jesus. Also my wife and kiddos for their support. Good to see all my desert friends.
I also want to mention that after last year's back issues I had, I was not able to thank my sponsors throughout the 2023 year because I wasn't racing. So this year I didn't make any calls or chase any sponsors because I didn't want to let them down AGAIN.
These are the great products that keep me on the trails and get me to the finish line EVERY TIME.
