on began searching for land in the Paso Robles AVA. Upon encountering an idyllic property in the Templeton Gap, they immediately recognized the potential of the land and established what would be the beginning of the 127-acre ONX Estate Vineyard. In the time following, ONX would find a permanent winemaking home and tasting room in Tin City, as well as acquire their Kiler Canyon Vineyard in Willow Creek. Veraison is moving fast across the ONX Estate 🍇

After a stretch of near-100° days, temperatures have dropped, and the vines are back to focused ripening. Green berries are turning reddish-purple, block by block.

While much of the Central Coast is tracking toward a very early harvest, our Templeton Gap site runs on its own clock. The marine breeze that rolls through at night cools the vineyard, allowing the fruit to ripen at a slower, more measured pace. For ONX, that likely means a few more weeks before we begin picking reds, distinct from the rest of Paso.

And this year marks another milestone for the vineyard: 2026 is our third year of organic farming, and we’re officially beginning the application process for CCOF Organic certification for the ONX Estate Vineyard. 🌱

🍇 Meet our 2026 harvest interns!

We’re excited to have Kalib Khan and Sarah Walsh joining us for harvest!

Kalib is joining our cellar team for his first harvest with us and second overall. A San Luis Obispo County local, he just returned from an eight-month backpacking adventure through Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, and the Philippines. 🌏

Sarah is joining us as a viticulture intern for her first-ever harvest. Originally from Thousand Oaks, she’s a climber, camper, and backpacker when she’s not in the vineyard.

8- and 11-year anniversaries! 🍇🎉

Two members of our winemaking team just hit major milestones. Lauren Lange, our Associate Winemaker, is celebrating 8 years with ONX. She’s been instrumental in crafting our wines and leads winemaking for our custom crush clients. Drew Nenow is celebrating 11 years, and was recently promoted to Director of Winemaking & Vineyards, deepening the connection between vineyard and cellar.
