What a wonderful class with the Surfside Quilters in San Clemente! 🧡

The class was Arabesque and the techniques I covered were: 🟠 Foundation Paper Piecing (the way I do it, a bit differently than usual);
🟠 Binding various angles;
🟠 My No Baste method for quilting on a regular sewing machine (not a long arm).

It was a fun day with a!wonderful group of quilters and I cannot wait to see the finished Arabesque quilts from this class! 🧡

Last week I had a lovely time in Long Beach with the Quilters by the Sea quilt guild. 🧡

We worked on several patterns and I shared my methods of making certain traditional patterns simpler to sew. I cannot wait to see the finished quilts! ✌️

Later today I will pack my bags and head back to Southern California to teach in San Clemente in the next two days. 🧡

Driving home from Southern California after my first lecture in person in two years!!! It was glorious to have a live (and lively) audience react to my presentation and to look into real faces instead of presenting to a muted audience and staring into a computer lens.

The cherry on top was to see the California poppies in full bloom between Lancaster and Palmdale. Just gorgeous! 🧡🧡🧡
