We’re facing a huge issue right now, and we need people to know what’s happening.⁠
⁠
During COVID, California began allowing small distilleries like ours to sell spirits directly to customers and ship bottles straight to their homes. That temporary law expires December 31.⁠
⁠
Distilleries like ours have been fighting to make it permanent, but powerful alcohol distributors, wholesalers, the wine industry, and Teamsters have pushed back.⁠
⁠
If we don’t encourage lawmakers to act, starting January 1, small distilleries will lose the ability to ship bottles directly to you. That means no more online orders, club shipments, and access to bottles you may not be able to find in stores.⁠
⁠
Please speak up and help save local distilleries across California. We need people to contact their state representatives this week and tell them to support keeping direct shipping for California craft distilleries. Ask your local distillery how you can help, and please share this post.
