As Built Plans for Fire Damage Restoration ~ Phoenix Arizona
This house had been damaged by an electrical fire in the attic. I had to draw a Basic As Built set of plans for insurance purposes.

Here are a few renderings of a custom home that I recently designed.
I overlaid the house onto photographs from Google's street view of the actual site. Then matched the sun's path for the date and time of day so the virtual shadows would match the real world conditions. Click here to go to the album.

Here is the walkthrough of floor plan #3 posted below.
The latest floor plan changes affected it a little but I actually like the condensed floor plan better myself.
This walkthrough has more detail added, dressing it up a little.

The house has now been trimmed down to 1991 S.F. and more detail has been added.
It's just about time to wrap this one up by cutting details of various connection points and finishing out the keynotes. Along with a little polishing here and there.

Round Two.
Here is the second draft of this plan, along with some interior elevations.
No matter the controlling factors: budget, lot size or something else, every project requires a balance between desire and necessity.
The owner's changes increased the square footage to 2300 s.f., which is quite a bit more than he wanted but he loves the look and feel of the new plan.
Here is what he had to say about it.
"HI Matthew,
Here are a few changes:
Can we shrink down the SF to 2000 sf?
We also want to add windows to the bedrooms and make the ones in the front kitchen/living room bigger. Basically, we want lots of windows!
We will ultimately want to put a pass through bar top on the outside of the kitchen window.
That’s it!
Thanks!"

I have a question for you.

What would your dream house be?

I am thinking about (in my spare time) creating a 3D model of a magnificent home to feature here.
Please comment and be as specific as you like, or even a little extreme. You never know I may pick your ideas for this project.
