There are three components that must be in sync for an aircraft to take flight. They are Lift, Thrust and Drag.

Lift is the physical Ascension of the aircraft.
Thrust are the motors that propel it forward into space. Drag is the weight involved. (the weight of the aircraft, the passengers, etc).

Success is much like an airplane. It also requires the perfect combination of lift, thrust and drag in order to take flight.

There's only so much hustle muscle your troops can have. Too much thrust against too much drag can cause burn out and counterproductivity.

Keeping your team aligned with the goals you have set forth for your business is crucial.

Quick tip: Invest in a large White Board ($200)

This will become your vision board. Write in your companies goals. Be sure to include short and long term, quarterly - 2 or 5 year. Be specific, use color, underline, get artistic (or find someone who is), throw in some comedy, rank them in order of importance.

Hang it up in a common/high traffic area for your employees such as the break room or outside the restrooms. This will keep your team consistently focused and thinking about the direction they need to work towards.
