A few statistics to ponder:

1. At 31%, SPEED is the leading factor in US Teen Driver Fatalities.
2. 42% of drivers DO NOT consider 10MPH over the speed limit to be speeding. 10% don't believe that 20MPH above the limit is speeding.
3. 22% of accidents are weather related.
4. Weather related accidents kill more people each year than large-scale weather disasters.
5. More than 50% of yearly crashes are caused by aggressive drivers.
6. 1 in 3 people text while driving. When texting you are 23 times more likely to be involved in an accident. ELEVEN teens dies EVERY DAY due to texting and driving.
7. The average driver will be involved in an accident once every 17.9 years.
8. 62% of drivers have no idea what their insurance coverage limits are.
9. 33% of drivers carry minimum limits.
10. 29% of drivers have no Life Insurance.

I make it a point to remind my clients that every time they get into their car(s) to imagine that everything they own is on the hood of that car. House, paycheck, bank accounts...everything. Why? Because it literally is, if you are not properly protected. That's not gloom and doom, scare tactics or sales talk; it's fact. If you are not properly insured, it's all at risk and it is my responsibility to make sure that my clients are aware of that risk so that in the event that something bad happens in that car, the last thing that they should be worried about is "who's gonna pay for this?".

When a client calls and asks me "is this covered?" I want to be able to say YES one-hundred percent of the time. I hate saying no but, unfortunately, sometimes I have to be that bearer of bad news. Do be a no getter...be a yes.

This place is filled with folks who didn't have a plan. They passed unexpectedly and in the wake of that tragedy is a lot of collateral damage. 1.) Unpaid Bills...2.) Child care options... 3.) Mortgages... 4.) Medical expenses... This is America where, dying is expensive.

Studies show that 40% of American adults either don’t have any life insurance or don’t know what kind of plan they have.

99.9% of the time, when I bring up the subject of Life Insurance to one of my clients, the number one response is:
"I don't plan on dying any time soon"
Really? Now, outside of suicidal people, who plans their death?
Nonsensical answers to this important question does not make it go away. I know, I know, nobody wants to talk about death. Everybody believes that they are going to live to be 100 and die in their sleep surrounded by their family of loved ones but, unfortunately, the world does not work that way and if it did, there would not be a need for life insurance.

Oh and BTW., GO FUND ME is not a viable Insurance Option.

Studies show that less than 30% of American Homeowners KNOW what their Homeowners Insurance covers?

Have you read your policy? Do you know what your deductible is? Do you know what the exclusions are? What are your discounts? Do you have replacement cost or actual cash value?

One of the most difficult conversations to have with a client is the one where I have to tell them that something that they THOUGHT they were paying for will NOT be covered. Inevitably, Agents (like myself) will be the ones getting cursed out by the client when chances are the ones who refused the proper coverages because they wanted to save a few "extra bucks". Bulletin: If you need to save a few extra bucks, your homeowners policy should not the place where you shave off the dollars.

Homeowners policies are not all inclusive. There are specific endorsements that you will need in place to cover certain losses. Don't be the client who finds out the hard way that your policy will not cover a certain loss and be out of pocket for the expense. The few dollars you save on premium simply ain't worth it.
