Storage Containers are one of the most popular request for any jobsite, this is because they allow you to lock up equipment while away, preventing theft. Over the past year Discount Waste's monthly spend on storage containers has over doubled, from about $250,000 to $800,00! Storage containers are hard to come by these days though, because of the persisting container shortage. As the busy summer days pass us by we continue to have a hard time finding storage containers for our customers. First named storm of the season, Tropical Storm Alex, floods Miami, Florida over the weekend. Along with the flash flooding came 60 mph winds and as of yesterday the storm has now been classified as a post-tropical cyclone. This is only the beginning of the Atlantic Hurricane Season though with most predicting 6-10 hurricanes this year. Be prepared from now until the end of the year and if you plan on providing disaster relief services please contact us!

Happy June 1st! June is the official start of hurricane season so we are gearing up to prepare for whatever this season may bring. Last year we had a total of 21 named storms, including 7 major hurricanes with winds of 74 MPH or greater.
