Here are some pictures I have of completed project pieces for my friend. I did the antique rocker a few yrs back and she asked me to paint this lil side table in the same color with the white wax in the details.
The swivel stool was in bad shape so it went through a “Frankenstein” repair moment. 😵 then painted to match the vanity.
Maggie Mae seized the moment to lay down on the padded top while I took pics. Haha
Now to deliver next week.
Stay tuned for her sister’s dining table painted in the same color as the rocker and table.

Wow. Done!
Hello Friends.

This vanity has wonderful history.
It was my clients husband’s grandmothers vanity then handed down to their daughter and now to their granddaughter to use.
I’ll be posting the stool at a later time because it needed lots of structural repair and will have new fabric. See comments for the before.
Pure white is the color she wanted for this piece.
Lots of cosmetic repairs were needed. Replaced all the decorative trim at the base due to missing/broken trim.
Cleaned and painted the hardware gold.
The original mirror, see pics, was not stable any longer so I had a pink mirror laying around for them to use instead. And her accents are all pink so this fit right in.
Check out the dovetails. Omgosh HIGH QUALITY
The lamp you see I made that for Mom yrs ago.
The roses were Moms and the Raggedy Ann and Andy my sister painted back in 1976 or 7 with her name on the bottom side.
Now to finish painting the vanity stool base.

Hello Friends!! 😄
Just delivered this table set to my friends daughters place. Her daughter just got married and this is the set that her grandmother gave to her for me to refinish. It’s a true beautiful antique set.
It needed lots of attention and love.
Was quite wobbly and lots of stains on the top.
The chairs were in wonderfully sturdy condition but I had to sand every inch due to flakiness.
The table base was very loose and such so I did those repairs and sanded quite a bit on that.
The top was stripped way down, sanded and stained in Dark Oak. Then multiple coats of topcoat.
The table base and chairs painted in Egret White.🤍
From tired looking to an uplifting “white”. She is now looking for a mirror to go behind the table. Perfect!!

What cha think?? I enjoy giving life back to old furniture ❤️

Just picked up my next project for my wonderful friend. It was her daughters vanity and now being passed down to her daughter (granddaughter)
Going to paint it pure white and the hardware will be gold.
This needs a lot of prepping then will start the paint job
Side table will be painted French Linen like the antique rocker I did two yrs ago for her.

Hello Friends.
Here is a friends dresser that I just finished up.
Yes, yes!! I am retired and I don’t advertise anymore but when friends ask me for help, I’m there.
Have done several pieces for her in the past along with her two daughter’s furniture too.
Truly saddening when a “flipper” takes a magnificent piece of furniture and (slops) black paint all over it and sells as “Shabby Chic”. Really!??!?! 😖

She wanted green so it’s green now.
Stripped down the top and THANKFULLY it was in good condition. Stained in a rich brown. Then sealed.
Sanded and sanded down the body and drawer sides. It now looks ok but wish I had a laser stripper.
Also did several repairs and drawers didn’t glide well.
It’s going to NC next week to its new home location, their second home. The house has a log cabin look so I thought this green would be a nice look.
On to the next project

Hello Friends!
Just finished up this changing table for my client before I take off on my long vacation!!
It’s painted with Fusion Mineral Paint in the color Picket Fence. The whitest of the whites in this line.
I cleaned, scuff sanded then applied Dixie Belle Bonding Boss due to its non porous material. Then went in and painted using this brush. White being so light on pigment I went in with my sprayer to finish the job. Last coat was a mixture of paint and topcoat from Dixie Belle in Satin.
Now to put the original strap back on and get this back to the client before her baby arrives 🫣🎊🤪

Hello Friends!!!
Yes I am, Blessed to have such wonderful clients who turned out to be fantastic friends.
Have done her dining room table and chairs, side tables, antique trunk and this awesome dresser. And she then purchased the side chair I painted~ posted with the fliptop desk in a previous post.
The bedspread in her guest bedroom is her jumping off point. Wanted a dark color to contrast so we came up with this color. Urbane Bronze.
Wonderful piece of furniture that has been updated in this neutral gray/brown/bronze.
She was looking for hardware but we decided to keep the vintage batwing, which a lot of people don’t like but when done correctly it looks “new”~Venetian Bronze.
So, what cha think? Gotta love this rich color. 🩶

Hello Friends!!!
Just finished up this vintage secretary desk. It’s to be sold sometime, not for a client or me.
It’s been in my storage unit for nearly two years 🫣🤯 never able to decide what colors to paint it in.
Did a clients dresser (have not posted yet) exactly like this. Urbane Bronze and the handles sprayed in Venetian Bronze. Inside is Agreeable Gray.
The insert can be taken out, not attached.
The chair is painted in the same Urbane Bronze. Believe it or not but it’s super comfortable. Getting a pad that has the same color (?) as the inside
Welp, back into storage until I know what’s going on with it. 🥴

What cha think of this color? Very neutral and sleek IMO.

Yup, happy that I was asked by my friend to paint this Little Tykes Cozy Coupe into a Beachy Surf Boy Coupe. His 1st BD party!! I think he will have all the beach babes after him. 🏖️🏄🏻‍♂️🏄‍♀️
In the photos you can see the “inspirational pics”. The emblems have been ordered and they will put those on and a surf board is being made by them (I think)
In this project I used Sherwin Williams Emerald line in the color Blue Sky. The top was painted using Wise Owl OHE in the color Kashmir. Lots of coats of primer too. Ugh.

So, what do you think? Ready for a Beach Party???
