Microsoft and partners just took down a phishing network behind more than 1 billion scam emails and texts sent to 75,000+ organizations this year. The crews hijacked real Microsoft 365 accounts and hosted fake pages on SharePoint and OneDrive, using lures like unpaid tolls and delivery problems. The takedown helps, but the tactics will return. Treat unexpected shared links with caution and verify by phone.

Microsoft just released its biggest security update ever (1,411 fixes), including one Windows flaw attackers are already using to open malicious attachments without the usual warning.

Also: Windows 11 24H2 Home and Pro got their LAST security update on Oct 13.

Quick to-do: install October's updates now, and check whether any work PCs are still on 24H2 Home or Pro.
