REMINDER TO ALL PR CHAMBER MEMBERS! We are voting today on the dissolution of the Pelican Rapids Chamber of Commerce! Hopefully by now you received a letter in the mail, an email, and possibly a phone call. This is just a friendly reminder today is the day to cast your vote regarding dissolving the chamber.
If you can not make the meeting tonight you can still vote either by phone at (218) 863-4606 or by email at [email protected] or filling out the Google Form through this link: https://forms.gle/VUAt9139x71RHNQ69
Please place those votes by 5pm so we can have them for a tally at the meeting. We need 85 votes in favor for this to pass. As of this writing we have 25 votes in favor and 0 against.

A major decision about the future of the Pelican Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce is coming Monday.

Chamber members will meet at 6 p.m. July 13 at the Pelican Rapids Public Library to vote on whether to dissolve the Chamber and transition its programming and responsibilities to the Pelican Rapids Economic Development Authority.

The proposal would shift business support, tourism, marketing and events into a new structure with professional staff support and continued volunteer leadership.
