There is nothing quite like finding some thing new in the garden! The French say they like smaller produce cause they feel the flavors are more concentrated and everything is more tender, can you have more tender, I don’t know, lol. This year I have had a few of those little cantaloupes. I don’t remember if I planted them or not but probably another surprise from the miracle compost pile.

What a wonderful life! Everything you see is from my garden. Arugula, tomate, basil, cucumber and the last ingredient is the red onion not from my garden. Made a vinaigrette with my blueberry wine vinegar and lastly sprinkled balsamic vinegar. Refreshing!

It’s already noon and the harvesting was easier today as we have a little breeze going on and and let’s face it, time goes by quicker when you are having a good time, bahaha! Bet I picked 20 or more pounds and there is still so much more. Anyone wanting a grape picking adventure is welcome to volunteer to help! We need you!

As soon as I package these up I will be going to Happy Cow Creamery in Pelzer for them to resell. Look for them there and let me know if you like them?

If you want to shop directly from me, call me and let’s arrange a pickup.

What’d think about this little cantaloupe? They are growing on the farm and they are mighty tasty for being little. The French may be right, they are always saying the smaller it is the tastier it is as all the flavors are concentrated.

Zucchinis are in season. This has got to be one of my favorites! Though I have to admit, this recipe is labor intensive. I don’t make it often, but when it’s said and done, it is well worth the effort. This is an Italian recipe called Zucchini Ripieni. You take the center out of the Zucchini, basically make a boat and after much preparation you stuff the Zucchini and bake it over a home made tomato sauce. I was able to use our farm garden tomatoes and oregano and basil.
