The factory mounts were damaged in an accident long ago and are unavailable to buy new and rare to find used. I removed all the broken hardware, built mounts, installed bumper and skin. The Cats were leaking under the heat shields. I cut the bottoms out and welded in patches.

Although it was raining out I steam pressure washed it. Cleaned up nice for sitting 13 years or so

Tonight completed a custom frame modification on a 1986 Dodge D350. Originally equipped with a stake body, the truck was shortened by 9.5 inches to properly accommodate an 8-foot bed.
To ensure proper fitment, 3" wheel spacers were installed to widen the rear duals, allowing the bed to sit cleanly between them. Additional work included replacing the rear axle seals and fluid, fabricating and installing new bed mounts, relocating the fuel tank strap to suit the modified frame, and new exhaust hanger to top it off.
The driveshaft was professionally shortened to match the new dimensions. The project came together cleanly and precisely, and we’re looking forward to seeing this truck back out on the road.
