The score marks are still on the timbers. The builders left their fingerprints everywhere. Whitetail Hollow is early 1900s hand-hewn oak out of Clarion County, PA, a farming region with roots going back to 1792. The oak here is exactly what you'd expect from that era: heavy, tight-grained, and shaped with an adze by people who took their time.
