50 years ago today, New York wine changed forever.

The Farm Winery Act of 1976 gave grape growers the chance to become winemakers, opening the door for family-owned wineries across the state and helping put New York wine on the map.

What started with fewer than 20 wineries has grown into the vibrant wine community we know today - spanning the Finger Lakes, Long Island, the Hudson Valley, and beyond.

This feels like the perfect time to appreciate the local wineries and the dreamers who helped make New York wine what it is today. What we've built across this state is something pretty special, and we're damn proud to be a part of it.

We’re kicking off summer with a fan favorite: our Strawberry Poppyseed Salad! Fresh mixed greens topped with diced strawberries, roasted pumpkin seeds, garlic croutons, and creamy Lively Run Dairy chèvre, all finished with our house-made poppyseed dressing and served with a baguette.
