I have a fantastic friend who I met while working on the Oregon coast at a Christian Youth camp. She loves working with Youth and has served in the nonprofit sector for many years. She full of life, and if you ever met her, you have no idea the level of pain that she is going through on a daily basis.

She had a back injury about five years ago that has Dramatically impacted her quality of life. Finally, the doctors have deemed that surgery is the next best course of action. As a friend, I’m so relieved that this may very well be the fix that she’s needed for a very long time. However, if you’ve ever worked in a nonprofit sector, you’ll know that good pay and healthcare benefits are hard to come by.

So, her sister put together a GoFundMe to help make it through the two months of recovery after her back surgery. I know this girl, and I can tell you that whatever she receives, would be stretched as far as possible. I also know that there is no way she would ever ask for this herself. She would live in the back of her car and make things work before taking handouts.

However, if you’re a Christian, things work a little different for us. It says in the Bible that others will know us by the way that we treat our brothers and sisters in the faith. It’s a gift when we’re able to help each other out. It’s not a handout, it’s just the family of God taking care of each other.

I’m gonna be honest that there’s not a lot I’m able to donate right now. Even though I can only send a little, I know that if we all put in a little, it’ll make a big difference for her. So, if you have an extra $5, $10, or $20 even, this is a girl that definitely use some help from her community and family. Thank you.

Hi everyone, I'm reaching out to you all as my beloved sister, Rikki, has … Jessica Sullivan needs your support for Love and Support for Rikki's Back Surgery

The last of the blog posts are finally up. Check out this wild journey as 112 chicks made their way across the big blue. From the Eiffel Tower to Kenya Farmlands, they sure did see the sights. Now the project is complete and the chicks are all in their new home on Mama’s farm. Big thanks to everyone who supported this work. I know that this project will touch many people for generations to come. Thank you.

It's that time again! Summer is around the corner and Africa is calling. This time, I will be working with a family business, Mama Brandy's Farm. We have a plan but it can't be done without a community of support. Please consider being part of the transformation that this family and their community is about to undergo.

We just completed the second and final training with Imani Collective. I have so enjoyed my time with this team of world changers.

The first week we worked through time management strategies. Today we looked at some practical tools to help them strategically communicate with one another in the workplace. I have to tell you, they are troopers. If you have ever been a part of one of my classes or trainings, you will know that I am a big believer in hands-on experiences. Adult learning is so awesome because, in order to retain and absorb information, we have to work with it and experience it. So, when I meet a team that is already so well connected, and they have great cohesion, we get to take that to the next level. We struggled, we laughed, and we got real with each other. This is such a lively and fun team, and I am glad that I had the opportunity to get to know them.
