Piloting something HUGE!!

HACK THE COAST
Defending the Coast: Built to Withstand. The Gulf Coast's first community-driven cybersecurity conference is officially happening.

May 9, 2026 | Cowork Annex — Pensacola, FL

KEYNOTE: DAVE KENNEDY Founder of TrustedSec & Binary Defense. Former USMC intelligence operative. One of the most recognized names in offensive security

WHAT TO EXPECT:
All-day Capture the Flag — web, crypto, OSINT, reverse engineering. Hands-on OSINT Village — no experience necessary. Breakout sessions — red team, blue team, AI security, cloud, governance, career development. Real networking. Lunch included.

A production of IT Gulf Coast, in collaboration with BSides Pensacola, Pensacola Cyber Army, and DEF CON 850.
This isn't a corporate expo. It's a grassroots gathering built to grow the Gulf Coast cybersecurity pipeline — students, practitioners, and community builders in the same room, learning from each other.

Register: hackthecoastconf.org - Limited tickets available.

CALL FOR SPEAKERS — NOW OPEN
Got a lesson worth sharing? We're looking for practical, honest, and accessible talks from practitioners, educators, and community builders. First-time speakers welcome. I'm deeply grateful to God for yet another undeserved trip around His sun. Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son Who continues to keep me in His perfect orbit, is the very reason I live.

What a week! God is good!

From Afrotech on Wednesday to ITEN WIRED TechNet CyberCoast on Friday, it’s been a busy but energizing week on all fronts. Grateful for the opportunity to speak at both events, share ideas, and learn from so many brilliant minds.

At AFROTECH, we dove into Quantum and its growing impact on the future of secure computing. At ITEN Wired, the conversation around AI Security and the illusion of automation was lively and thought-provoking.

Finding out that IBM (my employer) was a Platinum Sponsor for ITEN Wired was a pleasant surprise. Love seeing that kind of support for local innovation and collaboration. Our (ITGulfCoast )is looking good.

To all the new connections and familiar faces, a humble thank you. It was good meeting you all. Learned so much from everyone. Let’s stay in touch and keep the momentum going. Both events are absolutely worth attending if you’re passionate about technology, innovation, and community.

Here are a few pictures from the week. (Too lazy to create a movie).

Huge thanks to my friends and AfroTech for capturing these pictures.
