Length and Strength: ready to get back into the running game after a 3 month hiatus…gotta get those knees in shape before tackling the road/track/trail.

People often make the mistake of to be in shape, then they should be in shape to first.

Fun fact number 1ļøāƒ£: it takes most humans about 3 years to develop the ability to run.

Fun fact number2ļøāƒ£: most runners (80% or so) experience joint or muscle pain—this is because they aren’t adequately conditioned to perform the skill of running itself.

So…workout and work dem bees knees toošŸ’«šŸ’Ŗ

Disclaimer: you don’t have to do this move to work your knees (it’s a little extreme for most folks but something fun to work towards)

How we interact with our the ground will show itself in our shoes. You should be wearing out forefoot of the shoe first, never the heels first. This goes for your running shoes as well as your everyday shoes.

Your shoes can be truth tellers when it comes to optimizing your gait so if you notice that the wear patterns are more prevalent in the heels, you may want to rethink your movement strategy šŸ‘šŸ’«

Are you a LARP?? Long Ass Run Person.
If so, give yourself the opportunity to run at faster paces by giving yourself intervals with rest times in between.
When your HR gets too high, your coordinations goes out the window…no bueno.

This method gives you more options when you run and will aid in making you a more versatile runner šŸ¤™

Pic #2 is improper, though it’s most commonly recognized as ā€œthe position of the runnerā€ or more specifically ā€œSprintingā€.

Well pic #2 is a fallacy so make yourself look more like pic #1...we can talk about the ā€˜why?’behind that reasoning another time, but for now, engrave pic #1 into your mind.
