Success is rarely what it looks like from the outside.

Behind every moment like this one is years of quiet work. Hard seasons that shaped character. Connections built with genuine intention. Courage to lead when the path wasn’t certain. Integrity and core values held firm when compromise would have been easier.

Nobody arrives here alone and nobody should.

The real measure of leadership isn’t the recognition. It’s the impact you leave on the people around you. The community you build. The standard you set that makes others believe it’s possible for them too.

So if you’re in a season of building right now, stay rooted. Be strategic. Lead with your values even when it costs you. Pour into your community. Show up with courage even when you’re unsure. Do the right thing especially when no one is watching.

And build something worth remembering. I’ll be here to carry your message forward. 💜

Even as a professional communicator, I don’t have the words that scratch the surface of what last week meant to me.

In March, I was named the 2026 AFI Air Force Spouse of the Year. Last week I traveled to DC to meet the fellow branch winners and incredible base winners from around the world. Being part of the 2026 cohort is truly a gift.

What I can tell you is that I feel so honored to be part of this community, surrounded by lifelong friends and advocates, and so wildly reassured that our military community is better because of the military spouse change makers.

There’s so much more to share but for now, gratitude.

For four years I ran a thriving business with no website. (Comically enough our NEWLY upgraded site goes live May 1 😆)No personal brand. No public presence outside the people already in my world.

Not because I was hiding, but because I was busy doing excellent work and my clients knew it. I was a highly-referred business.

But stepping into being visible and growing strategically in my personal brand? That changed the speed of everything as an expert.

The right rooms found me faster. Opportunities became more aligned. My reputation started traveling without me.

That’s what I taught at .co this week and it’s the thing I wish someone had told me earlier:
You don’t need more exposure. You need better discernment.

Which podcasts actually move the needle. Which platforms your dream clients and collaborators are paying attention to. Which rooms are worth being in … and which ones just feel like checking a box.

There’s a version of visibility that keeps you busy and builds vanity metrics. And there’s a version that quietly makes you the obvious choice.

Grateful for the life I’ve worked hard for and the one I’ve been blessed to live.

This time of year brings so much reflection, reminding me that the impacts we can make over one, five or ten years is felt at unique chapters in our journey.

This year was everything I could have imagined it to be and while not perfect, I see exactly where I’m heading.

Just real thankful for my family, business, friends and the impacts they collectively have on me and the world around me.
