Meteorologist Gregg Mccambley A page to satisfy all your space-weather & local weather wonders & to keep you updated on approachin I have loved weather my entire life.

I have a BS in Meteorology from Millersville University in PA. I have forecasted all over the planet, during my volunteer years in Africa for the Peace Corps, to Europe, Asia, the Western Pacific for the Air Force and now at Cape Canaveral, FL for the rocket launch mission. I have won national competitions in forecasting and have been forecasting for 13 years, including on-air work, operational fo

recasting, statistical forecasting and even atmospheric research as a contractor. I love weather, space weather and photography, all of which you will find on this page. If you have any questions about any of those topics, feel free to leave a post or message. Thank you for looking at my page, and I hope you give it a "like". Thanks again and have a good day.

The results of the Nepal Glacial collapse. A glacial collapse so large, it led to a mis-reading of a 5.2 magnitude earthquake in the region. I visited parts of this region a couple years ago, and the area is home to an incredible culture/group of people. The footage of the devastation coming out of Nepal/Tibet is absolutely crushing 😞

The reason for the collapse will need to be studied, but these events were warned about decades ago, with the climate-changing research and it's hard to ignore that this is likely another result of the warming climate.

An excellent example of Von Kármán vortex street! As the winds pass over an island, and move leeward of the island, the associated lee vertices become unstable, and if there are already clouds over the water, the associated turbulence show off this beautiful pattern! This satellite imagery shows the pattern forming via Madeira, today.

3 CMEs.... 1 single impact! This will likely bring the Northern Lights into the US the evening of 04 June. How far south? That's the question, but wont be surprised to see it dip fairly further south than usual. Wouldn't be surprised to reach the Mid-Atlantic, and down through the Midwest! Keep an eye to the sky, Thursday night!
