West Michigan S.A.I.L. Program purchased the Water Taxi this past March.

A crew of volunteers and Board members spent 6 weeks refurbishing it, and it is now mechanically sound and aesthetically beautiful!

We renamed it "Covenant," which means "a formal, solemn, and binding agreement or promise between two or more parties to do or refrain from doing specific actions."

While similar to a contract, it often carries a deeper, more sacred or relational significance.

Our mission is: To bring Veterans together through sailing.

We teach Veterans how to sail, and make sailboats available to the qualified Veterans to sail together in small units, at no cost.

WMSAIL is:
• The only US Sailing Accredited Sailing School in Michigan, one of 44 in the United States
• Working with Motown Women Veterans, Warrior Sailors, WINC for All Women, and other Veteran groups.
• Available for Public sailing classes and charters

The Water Taxi officially belongs to West Michigan S.A.I.L. Program! Now registered under WMSAIL, repairs have begun on the trailer, thanks to Bruce's Auto on Madison in Pentwater.

Attention Supporters of the Pentwater Water Taxi:

West Michigan S.A.I.L. Program has purchased the Water Taxi!

Thanks to two major donors, WMSAIL is beginning to work on, equip, and rename the "Lake Sturgeon."

We are planning on re-naming it "The Keeper," from a movie that is based on the true story about a Veteran's hike on the Appalachian Trail and PTS(D).

Work has begun to be ready to launch and begin cruises before Memorial Day Weekend.
