The Seed Of Altruism

Networking is about giving to others. The seed of this altruism is nothing more than thinking. Thinking with respect to everyone you meet, “How can I add a little extra happiness to this person?”

Thinking with respect to every situation you come upon, “How can I make this situation better in any way?” Then when you happen upon answers to these questions – whether it is holding a door open or secretly buying teaching supplies – you need to commit to action.

If you focus on being thoughtful toward others and then acting upon it, eventually your thoughtfulness becomes a habit.
