You may retire from work, but you don't retire from taxes. 💭

Where you take your retirement income from can matter just as much as how much you take.

Stephanie Fullerton joined Tara Hitchcock for the Fullerton Financial Report to talk about some of the tax considerations that can come with retirement, from choosing which accounts to withdraw from to required distributions and Roth IRAs.

As Stephanie puts it in the conversation: when it comes to taxes, it's worth thinking about both the seed and the harvest.

Watch their conversation right here, or catch the Fullerton Financial Report on Arizona's Family 3TV or CBS 5 this weekend! 📺

Saturday, October 31 | 4:30 AM | 3TV
Sunday, November 1 | 4:30 AM & 5:30 AM | 3TV
Sunday, November 1 | 9:30 AM | CBS 5

Because taxes don't stop in retirement. Planning for how they may fit into your retirement income strategy matters, too.

When you picture your dream retirement, what do you see? 💭

Maybe it's more time with family. Traveling somewhere you've always wanted to go. Slow mornings, new traditions, or simply having the freedom to spend your days doing what you love.

Those are the moments we talk about when we ask people to imagine their dream retirement.

But there's another part of the conversation worth having: What do you want the life you've built to mean for the people who come after you?

Your retirement plan can help you prepare for the life you want to live. Your estate and legacy plan can help you think through what you'd like to leave behind.

As we close out our October focus on estate and legacy planning, we're bringing it back to the question at the heart of our My Dream Retirement series:

What matters most to you? 💙

This is the heart behind Harvest of Thanks.🧡

At Fullerton, we’re fortunate to build relationships that extend well beyond the office.

We get to hear about your families. Celebrate milestones. Share in retirement adventures. And be part of so many meaningful moments along the way.

Harvest of Thanks gives us one morning to bring all of those relationships together.

The hugs. The handshakes. The familiar faces. The new ones.

And most importantly, the chance to say something simple: Thank you for being part of Fullerton.

We’ll see you November 21. 🍂

You may have a will in place, but when was the last time you checked the beneficiaries listed on your retirement accounts? 💭

It's a detail that can be easy to overlook, especially if you opened those accounts years ago.

For many retirement accounts and life insurance policies, the beneficiary designation generally determines who receives the assets, even if your will says something different.

That means a marriage, divorce, new grandchild, or loss of a loved one could be a reason to take another look at the names you have on file.

Estate and legacy planning isn't just about having the right documents. It's about making sure the different pieces of your plan reflect your wishes and work together.

Your estate plan should reflect your life today, not just the life you had when you created it. 💙

As life changes, your estate plan may need to change with it.

A new grandchild. A change in your financial situation. A move. Or simply a different perspective on what matters most to you.

These are all reasons to revisit the plans you've put in place.

From your will and beneficiary designations to the documents that outline who can make important decisions on your behalf, each plays a different role in helping communicate your wishes.

As part of our October focus on estate and legacy planning, we're highlighting five documents worth reviewing and why they matter.

Swipe through to see what's on the list. ➡️
