We are reaching that time of year when the city flushes hydrants around town. This can cause dirty colored water to enter your home. Here are a few tips to help minimize and speed up getting your water back to normal.

If possible, when they are flushing on your street do not use water, especially hot water. After they are finished in your area, open an outside hard water spigot to flush the majority of discolored water out. This will prevent alot of it from entering your home. If you do not have an outside spicket, run cold water only at the faucet closest to where the water enters your home. We hope these tips help improve your water quality faster.

Ben Holzer Unlimited is lucky to have after school help from PHS student, Tait Bormann, through the Work-Based Learning Program. Work-Based Learning is a program approved by the Minnesota Department of Education, where students are enrolled in a cooperative work experience and are supervised by a licensed WBL Teacher.
