Ok friends, this one is really exciting!

Mekhashepha 2025
This is essentially a field blend from an astoundingly pretty vineyard in Perkinsville. With about 2/3 Petit Pearl, 1/3 Verona and a splash of Itasca, this w**e is like something out of a dream with great, violet aromatics and the right balance of spice and savor. Fans of lean Northern Rhône Syrah or Loire Cab Franc will find much to love in Mekhashepha!

Look to the Shelburne Farmer’s Market VT or Bristol Farmers Market this weekend or consider popping over to the online store! We’ll be featuring her in our next CSA shipment going out in about 2 weeks!

This last Sunday was our first major pick of the 2026 harvest season and we CRUSHED IT! This is perhaps the most charming site we’ve ever had the opportunity to pick from. Located down in Perkinsville, VT, it’s beautiful in a way that’s really hard to capture in words or photos. We had a righteous crew of folks along for the ride and pulled over a ton of delicious, organic Itasca that’s now happily bubbling away in the w**ery. We’ll have oodles more to pick from this same farm over the next month with Petit Pearl and Verona rapidly approaching!

This last Sunday we bottled ~230 cases of 2022 Midrash, the centrifugal dual-crop w**e around which our whole farm w**ery operation orbits. We’re still dependent on hand corking and getting that much done in one go is a serious haul. We went all day all day and thanks to the tireless support from some rad humans we got it all done!

This is Safta, a brand new member of the Chertok W**es family of creatures! She’s a bit different than anything we’ve done in the past and we’re super excited to share!

100% Traminette, foot crushed and whole-cluster fermented for 9 weeks. We pressed to poly egg and left ‘er there for 2.5 years without racking or topping up.

The result is a wildly nutty umami w**e with a ton of salty goodness and oodles of ripe stone fruit. Sherry lovers and funky orange w**e lovers rejoice! She’s got style and stories aplenty!

Headed down to our MA customers as we speak through our friends at Olmstead W**e Co. and we’ll start hitting the road with it real soon up here in VT

Well folks it’s that time again when we reach out to the community to ask for any extra hands to help with the rapidly nearing harvest. We’ve got lots of opportunities to help pick, process and even bottle last year’s w**e. It’s great fun and a wonderful way to help a little family farm get over a huge hurdle. Jo’s vineyard, now vs. then. Max and I agree this is the site that feels “coziest” of the three vineyard plots, looking particularly lush under the threat of rain. This spot was named after the family’s beloved doggy, RIP Jo.

Boy… January… what a mixed blessing. Cold, dark and financially tenuous BUT there’s ample time to conjure up new projects, revisit favorite pastimes and really invest in all those good practices that lead to just a little more joy during the day.

One of 2025’s big goals was to get out and play in front of folks again. Only got the one gig in there but it was a blast and so in 2026 I’m gonna do my durndest to put more music out there alongside our yummy w**es! This Saturday, my favorite person to play music with, the one and only is coming up to Vermont to grace us with his music. We’ll be playing two shows on Saturday 1/17 where you can also try the w**es I make!
