Happy Sunday, Friends!
There are some people who quietly show up for others without asking for anything in return… and that’s exactly who Ben Smith is. ❤️
Many of you may remember seeing us post about Ben shortly after the tornado hit Mineral Wells. While families were overwhelmed, scared, and trying to figure out where to even begin, Ben was one of the FIRST people out there helping. He was cutting trees, hauling debris, cleaning yards, and helping families try to put their lives back together.
And he was doing it FOR FREE.
Not for attention. Not for recognition. Simply because he has a servant’s heart and wanted to help people.
What many people may not know is that Ben has already walked through some incredibly hard battles in life. A few years ago, during back surgery, he actually died twice and had to fight his way back from something most people would never recover from. Yet through it all, he kept his faith in God and kept working hard to provide for his wife and family.
Then, just days after helping tornado victims, tragedy struck again.
Ben was involved in a horrific accident that completely totaled his truck, trailer, zero-turn mowers, tools, and the equipment he depends on to make a living. In a matter of seconds, the livelihood he worked so hard to build was gone.
And if you know Ben, you know he isn’t someone looking for handouts. He’s simply a hardworking, honest man trying to provide for his wife and make a living the right way.
Jack and Teri Richardson, owners of JR Disposal, can personally say that Ben has done work for us and has always done an excellent job. He is dependable, respectful, hardworking, and truly has a heart for people. We highly recommend him.
Right now, we are asking our community to do what Ben has already done for so many others: Show up for him. 🙏 940-351-3044
First and foremost, please pray for Ben. Pray for strength, healing, peace, protection, and provision over his life.
And if anyone has mowing equipment, trailers, tools, w**d eaters, blowers, or anything at all they would be willing to donate, even equipment that may need some work, please reach out to Ben directly. Every little bit could help him get back on his feet and back to work.
He also has fundraiser pages available for anyone who feels led to help financially. Benjamin's scrapping & more YA CALL WE HAUL
The enemy may have attacked him hard, but Ben is still standing strong in his faith, and we truly believe God will see him through this storm too. ❤️
