Company history

Around 1989 My Father Larry Book retired from Armstrong Tire after 31 yrs. He had been having issues with Kidney Stones and after having several his Doctor told him to start drinking Crystal Clear Water, and he quit getting Kidney Stones! in 1990 he was bored and thought there could be a market for this product in our area? So he contacted Crystal Clear and found out there was already a person in the area that was selling it but was not really doing much with it. So he contacted the person and was able to buy his business and started with 12 customers and a few water coolers. He needed a name for the business and my Mother Shirley who also helped with sales in the beginning said how about S&L Water for Shirley and Larry? And that is the Truth! A few years later water became the healthy drink! Next thing the phone was ringing off the hook! Around 1997 I started helping Larry with deliveries and in late 1998 Larry asked me if I was interested in purchasing the business and I said yes and with lots of hard work it has made a decent life for me! After 30 yrs I still have some of the original customers from the beginning!
