- We do not require you to purchase a unit directly from us, but we cannot install units purchased from Big Box stores (e.g., TSC, Home Depot, Lowe's) or any online store. This is due to the inconsistent quality often found in such units. At Perkins Chimney Cleaning, we take pride in our work and guarantee our craftsmanship for 10 years! Unfortunately, we've frequently encountered issues with units from these sources, as manufacturers often fail to uphold quality and integrity. These products do not meet Perkins' high standards, and this can lead to customer dissatisfaction with us rather than the manufacturer.

- ChimFlex Sticks (fire extinguisher logs) - $35.00

Just a couple things we found this week, I cannot stress enough. You need to have a Chimney inspection by a qualified Chimney company that has cameras and experience before you purchase a home and before you use your fireplace.

Little Job we did in MONROE, roughly 750 new bricks, 1700 pounds of 5000 psi concrete with about 100 pounds of rod, the Chimney crown has the proper overhang with expansion joints around all the tiles and the brick work, so it floats like it should ,integrated flashing in the Chimney crown to the tiles, a drip cap on the bottom of the crown, all of our concrete and mortar are mixed with a waterproofing agent to help repel water and last longer, this Chimney failed early because the previous mason did not install a proper crown, or vent to let the Chimney breathe

This is what we found on a recent inspection, somebody use drywall screws from the flashing, and penetrated the chimney pipe, which is a no-no, they put a nail right in the valley which will cause leaks, and also they did not maintain the 2 inch clearance required by the pipe manufacturer, you can see the roofing felt has melted , and the plywood is charred ,, do some research just because the company has Chimney in their name doesn’t mean they know what’s going on, informed Customer is the best customer. Please do research when hiring contractors.

Well, it’s been six years sometimes it seems like forever sometimes it seems like it just happened. Miss you every day some days more than others. I wish you were here to see Good. The grandkids are doing, man, I miss you, even though I may not have realized it then when I was younger working with you and we screaming at each other, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to cause you trouble
