🚘 IMPOUND & VEHICLE RELEASE INFORMATION — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
If your vehicle has been towed and is currently stored with Mabry’s, the information below explains the vehicle release process, office policies, and legal requirements that apply in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
This post is intended to provide clarity, prevent delays, and ensure everyone’s safety.
🕙 VEHICLE RELEASE HOURS
Monday – Friday
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
🚫 We do NOT perform vehicle releases outside of these hours. However, in limited situations, after-hours release appointments may be considered, but:
• They are not guaranteed
• They are subject to staff availability
• They must be approved in advance
• Additional fees apply for any approved after-hours release
📞 CALL BEFORE COMING TO THE OFFICE AT 804-704-0634
Calling ahead allows us to:
• Confirm the vehicle is eligible for release
• Verify required documentation
• Ensure staff availability
• Prevent wasted trips or extended wait times
Arriving without calling first may result in delays or being asked to return during release hours.
🪪 DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR RELEASE
Virginia law requires that vehicles only be released to authorized parties.
You will typically need:
• Valid government-issued photo ID
• Proof of ownership (registration or title)
• Proof of insurance, if applicable
⚠️ Additional documentation or restrictions may apply if the vehicle:
• Was towed at the request of law enforcement
• Is part of an accident or investigation
• Has a police hold
• Was towed from private property under authorization
All release requirements are enforced in accordance with Virginia law and cannot be waived.
💳 FEES & PAYMENTS
• All towing, storage, and administrative fees must be paid in full prior to release
• After-hours releases, if approved, will result in additional fees
Payment details will be discussed by phone to ensure accuracy.
📹 PROPERTY & SAFETY NOTICE
For the protection of our staff, customers, and property:
• Our entire lot, shop, and office are monitored by multiple security cameras at all times
• Video and audio monitoring is continuous
• Any disturbances, threats, or aggressive behavior will result in law enforcement being contacted immediately.
🚫 Disrespect, cursing, intimidation, or threats will not be tolerated
🚫 Individuals engaging in this behavior will be asked to leave the premises immediately
These policies are in place to ensure a safe and professional environment for everyone.

Mabry’s Towing operates in compliance with Virginia towing and impound laws. Our staff is legally required to follow these procedures and cannot make exceptions based on frustration, urgency, or disagreement.
Failure to follow release procedures may result in:
• Delayed release

• Law enforcement involvement if necessary
