Bathrooms wipes today advertise they are safe to flush. Most wipes are made from a cotton material, and once that material has collected enough at one location in a system it has a strong potential to clog.

This pumps has a cutting-edge to shave any material down to a fine grit making solids and waste much easier to move throughout the system 💦

This pump was pulled for low efficiency in moving waste. When out of the well and deconstructed, the bearings were the primary issue.

The water tank at PVRWA was installed in 2003 and has been do for maintenance, cleaning, and painting! We were fortunate enough to get an above view where everyone can see the progress so far👏

Reinstall and better backfill 👍

In northern states such as Western Pennsylvania, waterlines are installed at a minimum of four feet in depth to avoid the frost line. At install, the line, curb, and connection and buried in 2b grade gravel for a stable foundation that will not retain water.

The number one cause for leaks (siting first-hand experience) is poor backfill. Large stones on the serviceline is never good. Burying a serviceline in only soil, or even clay, does not allow water to drain thus retains water and bad for the connections. Gravel allows water to drain and provides a much more stable foundation for long term, servicelines 💦

Good backfill👍

One of the parts replaced for this leak repair is the curb box. The original was a light plastic that surprisingly lasted without breaking. The curb was installed with a new cast iron barrel and lid👍
